RADiUS-TWC was a boutique film distribution label under The Weinstein Company (TWC), launched in 2012. It specialized in acquiring and distributing independent films, often with a focus on digital and video-on-demand (VOD) platforms alongside traditional theatrical releases. RADiUS was known for championing innovative and alternative distribution strategies, releasing films in theaters and on digital platforms simultaneously or close to each other.

Logos[]

1st Logo (2012-2013)

Logo: On a black background with a blue spotlight, we see the word on a white box that says "Radius" in a futuristic font and the word "TWC" in a thin sans-serif font on a black box.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on early films by Radius-TWC

Scare Factor: None.

2nd Logo (2013-)

Radius TWC 2

Nickname: Red Arcs

Logo: On a white background, a white hollow sphere appears and turns, revealing two red arc-like objects rotating around the dark-gray sphere. After that, another white hollow sphere engulfs the other objects, then it disappears into the background, revealing the text "RADiUSTWC" in black, with RADiUS in futuristic font and TWC in thin serif font. A red arc draws itself on the D, completing the logo.

Variants:

  1. Starting in 2017, the logo freezes when the hollow white sphere appears and the "RADiUS" text (without "TWC") appears on the sphere (where the D arc's animation occurs).
  2. The "Radius" variant also has a closing version, which consists of the "RADiUS" text, now in white, fading in on a black background.
  3. Trailers use the same format as closing version, except here the D arc is drawn.

FX/SFX: The spherical objects turning, the text being revealed, the D arc being drawn. Cool CGI done in-house with MAXON CINEMA 4D and Adobe After Effects.

Cheesy Factor: The "Radius" variant's freeze frame is cheap and the text is obviously chyroned (poorly) on the screen.

Music/Sounds: An ethereal drone sounder that suddenly stops when the text is revealed, along with swooshes for the turning 3D objects.

Availability: Seen on newer films from the company.

Scare Factor: None.
