1st Warning (1986–1997)[]
Warning: Same as the 1984-1996 Imperial Entertainment warning, but the word "Warning:" is in the top left.
Variant: On later releases, the background is light blue and the text is more clearer.
FX/SFX: The scrolling of the text.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: First seen on videos released under the Tempo Video and Video Gems imprints in the United Kingdom distributed through WM Collins Video. When Abbey Home Entertainment was founded and acquired the Tempo Video name in 1990, they began to use the warning for all of their distributed releases under their Tempo Video, Tempo Kids Club and Tempo Pre-School imprints, and continued to do so even when PolyGram purchased a majority stake of the company in 1996.
2nd Warning (1997–2004, 2006)[]
Warning: Same as the PolyGram Warning.
Variants:
- Sometimes, the warning took place on a dark blue background, and the text was in an Arial font.
- On Just Entertainment UK VHS releases, the warning text all scrolled up, was smaller and longer, and "Warning:" was placed at the top left.
FX/SFX: None, but for the variant, the text scrolling up.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Appeared on later PolyGram and Just Entertainment era Abbey Home Entertainment, Tempo Pre-School and Tempo Video VHS releases in the UK. This was also used on many Abbey Home Media era VHS and early DVD releases as well. The standard warning screen also made a very unusual appearance at the end of the 2003 DVD of Mr. Men: The Great Alphabet Hunt, possibly likely to it being transferred from a VHS master. Sometimes, the warning screen is shown after the Tempo Pre-School logo at the end of some UK VHS tapes, sometimes before the Universal logo.
3rd Warning (2002-)[]
Warning: Same as the Universal and DreamWorks Warnings.
Variant:
- On Abbey Home Media DVD releases from 2005 onward, the text is in a different font and spaced differently.
- On later releases, the text is smaller and expanded.
FX/SFX: None.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Seen on a majority of Abbey Home Media’s releases, also including releases under their Tempo Pre-School, Tempo and Tempo TV Classics imprints.
